HYDROGEN CONTROLLED
WIA Austarc 18TC Vac Pack Arc Welding Electrodes [HYDROGEN CONTROLLED] – An iron powder hydrogen controlled electrode used primarily on C-Mn & low alloy structural steel welding applications. Other typical applications include oil / gas pipe welding, structural steel construction, off-shore rig welding where Ni-alloying is prohibited, mining equipment, heavy girders used in building construction & earth moving plant repair / maintenance.
WIA Austarc 16TC Arc Welding Electrodes [HYDROGEN CONTROLLED] – A smooth running, low hydrogen electrode, developed for all positional welding, using AC or DC power sources. The ideal hydrogen controlled electrode for welding carbon, carbon-manganese & low alloy high strength steels used in a multitude of critical & non-critical applications. Typical applications include pipe welding, single sided weld joints, highly restrained joints, maintenance applications, buffer layer prior to hard surfacing build-up, structural steel & sub zero temperature welding applications.
WIA Austarc 18TC Arc Welding Electrodes [HYDROGEN CONTROLLED] – An iron powder hydrogen controlled electrode used primarily on C-Mn & low alloy structural steels. Other typical applications include oil / gas pipe welding, structural steel construction, off-shore rig welding where Ni-alloying is prohibited, mining equipment, heavy girders used in building construction & earth moving plant repair / maintenance.
WIA Austarc 77 Arc Welding Electrodes [HYDROGEN CONTROLLED] – Smooth running iron powder electrodes used for all positional welding except for vertical down. Austarc 77’s are used for critical welding applications including the repair & maintenance of heavy plate & highly restrained work pieces such as cattle yards, turbines, pressure vessels, heavy steel girders used in building construction & earth moving plants.
IRON POWDER
WIA Austarc 24 Arc Welding Electrodes [IRON POWDER] – Are perfectly suited to long, heavy fillet & butt welding applications. Other applications include but are not limited to: tanks, structural frames, tractor, truck & trailer body repair & manufacture, cattle yards & roof trusses.
CELLULOSE
WIA Austarc 11 Arc Welding Electrodes [CELLULOSE] – Are high cellulose electrodes developed for all positional welding. Austarc 11 Cellulose Electrodes are used for pipeline welding & water / feed storage tank construction where either the ‘Stove Pipe’ or ‘Flick’ techniques can be used to obtain full-root penetration within the products critical structural joints.
STAINLESS
WIA Staincord 309Mo-16 Arc Welding Electrodes [STAINLESS] – Are a Molybdenum bearing, highly alloyed extra low carbon rutile type stainless steel electrode that are suitable for welding of matching 309 & 309Mo base metals, plus a wide range of 300 & 400 series stainless steels, through to alloyed / non-alloyed dissimilar ferrous metal combinations.
WIA Staincord 316L-16 Arc Welding Electrodes [STAINLESS] – Are a Molybdenum bearing extra low carbon, rutile type electrode that are recommended for welding 316, 316L & common 300 series stainless steels – such as 301, 302, 304 and 304L. Staincord 316L-16 electrodes are also suitable for welding ferritic stainless steel alloys such as 3Cr12.
WIA Unicord 312 Arc Welding Electrodes [STAINLESS] – Are basic, rutile type electrodes that are used for the repair & maintenance of steels of unknown composition. Also suitable as a buffer or intermediate layer that can be used prior to the application of hard surfacing.
CAST IRON
WIA Supercast Ni Arc Welding Electrodes [CAST IRON] – Are a basic, graphite coated AC/DC electrode for the lower strength welding of cast irons. These electrodes can be used for the repair / build-up of all standard grades of grey cast iron, malleable iron, austenitic cast iron & some grades of meehanite cast iron.
WIA Supercast Ni/Fe Arc Welding Electrodes [CAST IRON] – Are a basic, graphite coated AC/DC electrode for the higher strength welding of cast irons. These electrodes can be used for the repair & build-up of SG irons & all standard grades of grey cast iron, malleable iron, austenitic cast iron plus some grades of meehanite cast iron. Supercast Ni/Fe electrodes are also perfectly suited to welding these cast irons to steel.
GOUGING & CUTTING
WIA has a reputation for delivering high quality filler metal products, especially arc welding electrodes, for the industrial user. WIA’s arc welding electrodes are preferred by operators across a wide range of industry sectors. WIA’s comprehensive range of arc welding electrodes includes: general purpose welding electrodes, hydrogen controlled welding electrodes, iron powder welding electrodes, cellulose welding electrodes, stainless steel & cast iron welding electrodes & gouging / cutting welding electrodes. One of the most popular arc welding electrodes in WIA’s range is the Austarc 16TC low hydrogen electrode.
